Ark Media’s film to air on BBC2

Ark Media’s film to air on BBC2

A film worked on by production company Ark Media will be aired as part of BBC2’s Festival of Funny Shorts this weekend.

Ark Media – whose managing director Phil Arkinstall is president of the Sutton Coldfield Chamber of Commerce - were commissioned by 104 Films, the UK’s leading production company focusing on disability, to collaborate on the edit of a film entitled ‘Verisimilitude’.

The film is about an unemployed disabled actress who is frustrated at how all the disabled acting jobs go to able bodied actors.

Out of work, she is engaged as an advisor to a spoilt up and coming British film star, showing him how to be disabled for his latest role.

Verisimilitude has already been screened at 10 BAFTA qualifying film festivals including Slamdance, Palm Springs and London Short Film Festival.

On Sunday, it will premiere on BB2.  The impressive cast includes Ruth Madeley, star of BBC’s Terry Pratchett adaptation The Watch; Esther Smith star of Apple TV’s Trying; Laurie Davidson who played Mister Mistofelees in Cats; Stephen Boxer from the Crown; Alice Lowe from Sightseers and Simon Lowe who appears in Game of Thrones.

Phil (pictured) said: “Whilst our core business at Ark Media remains our work with businesses on video for television ads, social content and internal comms, it is great for the team to be involved in a project such as this to ensure our creativity is stretched and we can bring this level of experience to our corporate client work.”

Verisimilitude will premiere on BB2 on Sunday night at 11.25pm and will also be available via iPlayer.

Some advisers will ensure you’re set up to scale by coaching

What Is the Difference Between Bookkeeping and Accounting?

What Is the Difference Between Bookkeeping and Accounting? Bookkeeping encompasses organising and recording financial information, while accounting involves taking the data, summarising it, analysing, consulting and reporting. This blog will outline the differences that exist between accounting and bookkeeping in detail so that you can tell them apart. Differences between a bookkeeper and accountant An  accountancy firm  is tasked with the work of assessing and interpreting the financial data of a particular company and reporting on it. For this reason, it’s worth noting that an accountant has greater skill sets compared to a bookkeeper. A bookkeeper has the primary responsibility of handling the recording of financial transactions of a company. An accountant has to hold a certification or degree in CPA. Moreover, his/her salary is better than that of a bookkeeper. In the real sense, a bookkeeper reports to an accountant. On the other hand, a bookkeeper does not need to have any formal
